Attention Staff and Prefects
When you give or take points to Houses make sure you send me an owl informing me
I am keeping track of the house points here
Please do not forget to do so or your point deduction or addition will not be counted
Also here are the rules for the points if you have forgotten
Points are given or taken away to reward or punish the behavior of students. Points are accumulated over the course of the school year, at the end of which a House Cup is awarded to the house with the most.
Prefects are allowed to take points for infractions, but not from fellow Prefects.
Greetings Students and Staff
I am here to welcome you all to and back to Hogwarts
Starting today the school year will begin so make sure to do your best, respect each other, and above all have fun!
I hope this year everyone makes life long friends and learns what they wish and are able to succeed to the best of their ability!
To all the new students, I know you are all nervous about your first time being here but rest assured the teachers and your upper classmates will be here to guide you when needed.
If you have any questions make sure to ask your teachers, house leaders, prefects, or even the headmaster himself.
Enjoy your year here!

Classes Available This Year
Xenoarchaeology
An elective class that students in years four and above can take. Broad field of science involving the study of the remains of extraterrestrial civilizations. Xenoarchaeology is practiced on distant planets, studying alien cultures much as one studies ancient civilizations here on earth. Here on earth, xenoarchaeology refers to a field of study exploring whether extraterrestrial beings influenced prehistoric human societies.
Taught by Jacob Glasor
History of Magic
A required class for all students attending Hogwarts. The lesson plan usually consists of lectures on the ‘History of Wizards and the Magical World’ (in which goblin rebellions appear most memorably). This class is similar to the study of History in the Muggle World, as particular emphasis is placed upon remembering dates, names and events.
Taught by Castiel
Care of Magical Creatures
An elective course at Hogwarts that can be taken by students Third year and above. In the class, students learn about a wide range of magical creatures, from flobberworms to Fire crabs, and even unicorns and thestrals. Students are taught about feeding, maintaining, breeding, and proper treatment of these various creatures.
Taught by Castiel
Defense Against the Dark Arts
A required class for all students attending Hogwarts. D.A.D.A. broadly focuses on preparing the student so that they may be able to—if such need arises—magically defend themselves against things pertaining to the Dark Arts. This may include: Learning how to block unfriendly spells; and learning how to defeat dark, magical beasts (like the Boggart). However, as D.A.D.A. teachers came and went at Hogwarts annually it produced inconsistent learning from year to year, as the quality, style of teaching and exact choice of subject matter (depending on what was deemed appropriate) varied widely from teacher to teacher.
Taught by Jonathan Crane
Charms
Charms is a required subject for all students in their first five years. The spells learned in Charms class are taken from textbooks. Students are taught specific wand movements and proper pronunciation. Often students partner up in class to experiment on one another. Unsurprisingly, it specialises in the teaching of charms such as Wingardium Leviosa, Accio and Aguamenti.
Taught by Charles Xavier
Divination
Witches and wizards who are born with the rare natural gift for prophecy are known as Seers, who can forsee the future with their Inner Eye. Non-Seers can learn divination methods, but their success varies. Divination is taught as an elective subject from the third year on at Hogwarts.
Taught by Severus Snape
Transfiguration
It teaches the art of changing of the form and appearance of an object. This type of magic is commonly referred to as “Transfiguration.” There are limits to transfiguration, which are governed by Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration. There are also many branches of Transfiguration, including Cross-Species Transfiguration and Human Transfiguration.
Taught by Gabriel
Potions
In this class, students learn how to brew potions, following specific recipes and using various magical ingredients to create their potions, starting with simple ones first and moving to more advanced ones as they progress in knowledge. A standard potions kit includes plant ingredients such as Belladonna and supplies such as glass phials and weighing scales. Potions lessons take place in the Hogwarts dungeons.
Taught by GLaDOS
Astronomy
Astronomy is one of the only fields of study at Hogwarts which has a direct equivalent in the Muggle world. Known student activities include learning the names of stars, constellations and planets, as well as their location and movements, and describing the environments of planets and moons. It is a required subject for first to fifth years, but can be dropped in the sixth year.
Taught by Dalek
Herbology
Is the study of magical and mundane plants and fungi. In Herbology, students learn to care for and utilize plants, and learn about their magical properties, and what they are used for. Many plants provide ingredients for potions and medicine, while others have magical effects of their own right.
Taught by Pamela Isley
Flying
A required class that is taught to first-years only. The subject teaches students how to fly broomsticks.
Taught by Erik Lensherr
Muggle Studies
Part of the non-magical studies curriculum at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is exactly what the name implies - the study of the daily lives of Muggles and how they cope with electricity and not magic. This class aims specifically to acquaint wizards and witches who do not have direct contact with Muggles with the way they live; one known essay topic was “Why Muggles Need Electricity.” It is an optional subject, taught from the third year to the seventh.
Taught by Phil Coulson
